About the wine
A good Barbera from areas that have been dedicated to this grape variety for ages. With Roncolongo, the Bisi family has certainly won a bet, as they have succeeded in combining all aspects of terroir in a single wine. The body and strength make it a suitable wine that will certainly not make you look bad over a good meal with friends.
Tasting note
A very deep ruby red color. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of sour cherry, blackberry, violet, licorice, tobacco and vanilla. In the mouth, it has a strong structure with great finesse and persistence. The refinement in the wood, which enhances the complexity of the wine without being affected by it, is particularly successful.
Culinary recommendation
Excellent with mixed cooked meats, pot roasts, skewer roasts and even lamb.
Vinification
Made from 100% Barbera grapes, which are harvested by hand in perfect crates when fully ripe. After a long maceration on the skins, the wine matures in new barriques for around 15 months.
