About the wine

Pierre Frick. Pierre Freak would be wrong because everything here is so self-evident, so far removed from much else that is on the market and because it has been on the market for so long and in exactly the same way - 12 generations, 12 ha. Organic since 1970, biodynamic (Demeter) since 1981. In the vineyard, of course, no chemicals, in the cellar a small portion of sulfur, if any, exclusively before filling. After that: cork or bottle cap? Both, on every bottle. It can be that simple, you just have to do it like Pierre, his wife Chantal and his son Thomas do. And the wines, so different and so fascinating that you simply have to taste the whole range here, from white to orange to red, from dry to sweet, from slender to curvy, from focus to width, but what they all have in common is great harmony, depth and individuality. Tasting note
Transformation artist - oh this prelude, like the drums when entering the ring, that tingles, intense, tension, and then it runs warm, and absorbs, smoothly, the more and more apricot-colored fruit, including quince, remains agile, surprising, fresh notes, and that flows so smoothly into one another, this movement with inner peace. Even on the palate in extreme inner concentration and tension, trance, quince, creamy, nutty, with an immensely sharp focus, edgy tannins, riesling acid, then drifts off into darker, edgier worlds. Great, fascinating and challenging, and right at it, Riesling in nature!
