About the wine
With the delicious Ribera del Duero DO Albillo Mayor from 2020, you will positively surprise your friends. The winemaker from the Spanish winery Bodegas Nabal has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and refinement are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the enchanting and graceful landscape of the Duero Valley (Castilla y Leon).
Tasting note
Straw yellow color. Intense and complex on the nose with light notes of ripe tropical fruit, white stone fruit and spicy wood. Herbs such as fennel, anise and chamomile add the finishing touch. Surprisingly well integrated on the palate with good, fresh sourness, always with a balanced structure right through to the lingering finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with aperitif, foie gras, freshwater fish, saltwater fish and seafood.
Vinification
After cold maceration, the destemmed grapes are pressed and the must is fermented in barrels. Spontaneous fermentation with autochthonous yeasts from our own grapes at a low temperature. Ageing on lees for 6 months in 500 liter oak barrels with regular bâtonnage.
