About the wine
A wine from the limited edition “Bruno Jeggli Selection”. A special cuvée, created from a very trusting and personal collaboration with 4 of our top winemakers. The boutique winery Springfontein is located in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, Burgundy in South Africa. Created from a spontaneous situation, the Red of Sopiensklip is a full-bodied, elegant treat, always pressed with a portion of pinotagen grapes, which make this wine so unique. Just as it has been working with Jen and her winemaker Tariro from the start!

Tasting note
The playful aromas of fruit compote, spices and tobacco express a lot of complexity with a very individual structure. Afterwards, the refreshing nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper reveal their own character. A strong body and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which shows a lot of character and class, pleasantly with fine tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with red meat, beef, game poultry such as partridge, grilled meat and Asian dishes.

Manual harvesting, aging for 18 - 22 months in used French barriques
