About the wine

A heartfelt project by Paolo Panico and Giuliano Frollani. Paolo inherited the vineyards from his mother Clementina Principe; in the past, these grapes went into some of Bolgheri's very big names and most famous wines. The sites are not only in the heart of the growing area, but are also in the immediate vicinity of Ornellaia, Tenuta San Guido and Le Macchiole. Giuliano was there from the start when wine history was written here in the 90s. Back then, still as an agronomist, he created a large part of the vineyards for the most famous wineries in the region and planted them. With Casa di Terra, he now owns one of the most modern wineries in the region, a place where people believe in new technologies and in change, where production is sustainable, both in terms of energy supply and resource consumption. New wines have also been used for the wines: spontaneous fermentation, less extraction and only a small amount of new wood during aging. Fruit, elegance, freshness and drinking pleasure should be in the foreground here.

Tasting note
Arab prince - elegant, oriental appearance, tradition and openness. Dark rich fruit, berries and sweet spices, subtle with lots of warmth, gently tart, dark earthy tones. Smooth elegance on the palate, dark, slender and warm fruit, fairytale aristocracy, not power and domination, but beautiful to fall in love with, so noble, so much backbone, with an even youthful, slender, firm stature, a quiet, sensitive, accessible seducer - a prince.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Principe Rosso DOC Bolgheri goes perfectly with ribeye steak, red meat and Gruyère burger.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in steel tanks, 12-day maceration without pumping, aging and aging for 1 year in small used oak barrels (second, third and fourth use), aging in the bottle for 3 months
