Tasting note
Matarromera Prestigio seduces with clear, dark fruit notes and refreshing freshness. Its taste impresses with exceptional persistence, while French barrel spices such as clove and thyme stand out on the finish. The limestone terroir gives it an intense presence with Mediterranean influences and elegant concentration. A work of art for the palate that offers an enriching experience.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with the intense roasted aromas of grilled dishes — whether steaks, vegetables, BBQ pieces or poultry. Excellent with mature hard cheese — from Parmigiano Reggiano to Sbrinz to pecorino or older alpine cheese.
Vinification
The Prestigio was born with a triple goal: to create uniqueness that reflects the excellent vineyards of Valbuena de Duero, to break the traditional aging rules (Roble, Crianza, Reserva) and to fulfill Matarromera's creative drive. The wine ages in French and American barriques for nine months and then rests in the bottle for two years before being sold.
