Plenum IGT 2020 - Tenuta Le Colonne

About the wine

Blooming and fertile landscapes of Tuscany give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Tenuta Le Colonne conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. A must for connoisseurs, this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 — Plenum IGT! Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with red meat or ribeye steak.

Tenuta Le ColonneRed wine | 75cl13.516°-18°CCabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah
Robert Parker: 91/100Bio
Tasting note
The Plenum IGT's refreshing fragrance spectrum of fruit compote, spices and tobacco skilfully plays with your sense of smell. Afterwards, playful nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper will resolutely and consciously convince your taste buds. Its rich ruby red is the icing on the cake for any special occasion. Your guests will confirm it. A strong body and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which harmoniously shows a lot of character and class in the mouth with fine tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with veal, mushroom dishes, beef and risotto.
Vinification
The vinification took place as follows: The plenum of Tenuta Le Colonne is made by selecting the best grapes of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah varieties into a wine whose grapes grow in a vineyard in Bolgheri, south/south-west oriented at an altitude of 50 m/m above sea level on a sandy and skeletal composition. The winemaking processes traditionally take place in red and are completed with a barrel aging of around 12 months to develop a more decisive character and consistency without losing any of its elegance. Acidity 5.19 g/l.
