About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Vinicola Palladino masteres this red wine in the sunny and fertile countryside of Piedmont. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Nebbiolo is ideal for serving with burrata or prosciutto.
Tasting note
Made from Nebbiolo grapes, it boasts the same noble lineage as Barolo. The aroma is harmonious with notes of violets and raspberries, the palate is tannic, full of character and with good body and structure.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with beef — from steaks to stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roasts from the oven. The perfect accompaniment to the intense roasted aromas of grilled dishes — whether steaks, vegetables, BBQ pieces, poultry or fish.
Vinification
Handpicked of the Nebbiolo grapes. Fermentation (15 days) in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24°/25°C. After spending around two months in concrete tanks, the Barbera d'Alba matures for one year in large Slowonian oak barrels. The maturation process is then continued in the bottle for a further two months.
