About the wine
With experience and instinct, the winemaker from the Italian winery Ferreri e Bianco masters this red wine in the fertile and blooming landscape of Sicily. With the special Nero d'Avola IGP Sicilia from 2013, you will positively surprise your guests.
Tasting note
This Nero d'Avola impresses with its impenetrable, dense ruby red. Strong aromas of dried plum, ripe cherries, some tobacco and balsamic and floral notes caress the nose. On the palate, the wine again presents itself with lots of fruit, sour cherry, velvety structure and a great balance between fruit, spice, freshness and soft tannins. An excellent wine from Italy's boot tip with lots of southern Italian charm.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Mediterranean cuisine, pizza, pasta, risotto, grilled foods and all kinds of meat dishes.
Vinification
The vines for this Nero d'Avola grow on a vineyard called Salinella on loamy and calcareous soils at about 290 meters above sea level. After cold maceration, the grapes are cold fermented in steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for only a short time.
