About the wine
Sunny and picturesque landscapes of the Alentejo give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery Herdade do Mouchão conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the fine Mouchão Vinho Licoroso, which was produced in 2008, you will certainly have a lot of fun.
Tasting note
Dense, strong dark cherry red. Sweet fruit notes of plums, plums and black cherries. Very complex and alluring. Well-balanced on the palate with higher acidity and soft tannins. Very long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with aperitif, chocolate, dessert and fruit desserts.
Vinification
This wine is made exclusively from Alicante Bouchet grapes and pressed in traditional presses. In the middle of fermentation, pure, young brandy of the highest quality is added, which interrupts the fermentation and allows some of the sugar in the grapes to persist naturally. Ageing takes place in old wooden barrels and pipes for at least five years.
