Tasting note
Intense ruby red with a tendency to purple. On the nose, it shows spicy, chocolaty and vanilla aromas, along with notes of wild berries and dried roses. The palate is full and enveloping, characterized by silky and elegant tannins. It is very long-lasting and concludes with balsamic notes of tobacco and jamy-like blueberries.
Culinary recommendation
For the whole meal, it goes well with rich meat dishes, braised or fried. It goes well with particularly ripe cheeses.
Vinification
Careful vinification and ageing in wooden barrels for about 12 months are followed by 15 months of bottle ageing. This created a true reference point for the entire denomination, a red wine that should not be missed.
