About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Santa Sofia masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile landscape in Veneto. This dominant Corvina 2016 — Montegradella Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Corvina is very good to serve with venison or recent types of cheese.

Tasting note
A bright ruby red with garnet accents. Balanced and elegant on the nose with notes of plums, maraschino cherries, cloves and vanilla. Firm on the palate with silky tannins and a pleasant balance between alcohol and freshness. The finish is clear and long-lasting, accompanied by a sophisticated touch of bitterness. When lying on its side and stored in a cool and dark environment, it can be kept for 8 to 10 years or longer.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with juicy and rich meat dishes such as pot roast and roast beef, as well as with cheese with various degrees of maturity.
Vinification
18 months in oak barrels, then at least 6 months in the bottle.
