About the wine
A red wine made exclusively from Merlot grapes from the Azienda Agraria Cantonale di Mezzana vineyards in the municipalities of Coldrerio and Balerna. The winemaking process is traditional and the maturation takes place in large wooden barrels.
Tasting note
Garnet red. Intense, fruity, fresh, fine and balanced bouquet dominated by notes of small fruits (strawberry and raspberry) that evolve from aromas of black cherry and fruit to notes of marasca cherry and cooked fruit (plum). Soft at the start, delicate and well balanced. Intense aromas, well-balanced and elegant tannin structure. Pleasant persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Flaschenpost team tip: Mezzana Ticino DOC Merlot Viti goes perfectly with duck, poultry and slightly spicy red meat.
