About the wine
Daniel Huber studied forestry at ETH, then did an internship in Wädenswil and attended the wine school in Changins for a year. Daniel Huber was one of the first Deutschweizers to settle in Tessin at the beginning of the 1980s and produced wines that stood out significantly from all others in terms of quality. Daniel Huber reconstructed the estate on the southern slopes of the Tresa Valley that have been forgotten since World War II. The winery dates back to the 17th century and has been renovated since 1985. In this climatically demanding area, the calm and thoughtful man cultivates near-natural viticulture with small yields. He wants to feel the terroir expression in the wine and not apply cosmetic retouches. Fineness, subtlety and power are the watchwords in his search for perfection.
