About the wine
MEME are two wines that owe their names to the nickname that Emanuele Pellegrini used to call his grandfather, also Emanuele. MEME Chianti Superiore Docg and MEME Chianti Riserva Docg thus combine the memory and tradition of the family with the new generation that is now at the helm of the company. MEMES account for 90% of the company's total production and are vinified in the traditional way, using only the local Sangiovese and Canaiolo vines.

Tasting note
Crimson wine. The nose is complex with notes of sweet spices, cloves and licorice, medicinal herbs and dried flowers; with notes of dried red fruits and leather. On the palate, it has a fresh appearance with lively tannins and good harmony. A long-lasting wine that promises good surprises.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roast pork, wild boar and lamb, goose or duck dishes, mature cheeses
Vinification
The maturation takes place in wooden and concrete barrels. The choice of container is linked to the intention of preserving the varietal expression and refining the tannins. The wine finds its natural stability in the bottle, where it remains for at least 10 months before being released on the market.
