Marsanne Blanche Réserve Vieilles Vignes AOC 2022 - Histoire d'Enfer

About the wine

Founded only in 2007 and already on everyone's lips, already offering the best Swiss wine (wine newspaper 2011) and other praise and laurels wherever you look. And as is so often the case, it is special people who stand behind the success. Dr. Regamey, Alexandre Challand and James Paget in Corin-sur-Sierre in Valais are inspired and obsessed with even the smallest details; nothing, but nothing at all, is treated carelessly here. And so around 20 different wines are vinified from just 7 ha of prime locations - cultivated according to biodynamic principles! It is the subtle differences, the characteristics of the vineyards and vines, which are finely and precisely worked out here, as usual only in Burgundy. Great characters who are undoubtedly among the best things that originate in Switzerland! Name or not - Histoire d'Enfer - you're in wine heaven!

Tasting note
Older fashion czar — not the extravagance of Karl Lagerfeld. Rather a restrained, flowing design, the light and supple fruit like very fine thread, the delicate purple floral scent like a coloured accessory, a purple silk scarf, feminine aesthetics of a stylish man, even slightly smoky, mineral notes. Warm, amber-colored fruit, almost creamy river, which also weaves tart minerality into it as finely as a perfect seam that the size is so compelling, present and engaging, yet not obtrusive.
Culinary recommendation
