About the wine
With this provocative red wine 2020 — Liala Negroamaro Salento IGP, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Sunny and fertile landscapes in Puglia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Masseria Borgo dei Trulli conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Negroamaro can be served very well with dumplings or pasta Bolognese.
Tasting note
Very intense and deep purple color; rich and complex aroma with notes of red fruits such as currants, cherries and black cherries in alcohol. A full-bodied wine, soft and harmonious, rich in fine tannins, with a pleasant lingering finish. The spicy notes of cinnamon, coffee and vanilla make it particularly enveloping, velvety and elegant.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game and hard cheese.
Vinification
After removal, the grapes are not pressed to keep the skin intact and to optimize color extraction. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23-25° C for 8-10 days with selected yeasts recommended for this type of grape. During fermentation, frequent reassembly and delestage are carried out to achieve soft aromas and tannins. After tapping, malolactic fermentation is initiated.
