About the wine
This powerful Shiraz 2020 — Les Petits Pas AOC is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The winemaker from the French winery Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette in the sunny Languedoc-Roussillon countryside masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition. Flaschenpöstler tip: Pair this Shiraz with roasted vegetables or barbecue.
Tasting note
“Les Petits Pas is not “Petit” at all. This cuvée beguiles with a variety of aromas of wild cherry, spices, plum, some rosemary and gingerbread, fine-grained and well-integrated tannin and a very long finish. A full-bodied yet finesse-rich red wine with great minerality.”

Vinification
Grape varieties: Acru Between the Clapas (these are large piles of stones that divide the vine plots), the old autochthonous vines for this red wine grow on calcareous soils. Most vines are grown in a bush form and only minimal yields (approx. 30-35hl/ha) are obtained. The grapes are picked by hand and then picked again on the sorting table at the winery. The fermentation and subsequent aging take place in large wooden barrels. Only Carignan is aged in small pieces from Burgundy. Les Petits Pas is dedicated to the two sons, Jules and Gabriel from Julien & Délphine. The two foot steps on the label are also from the two children.
