About the wine
A must for connoisseurs, this strong Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — Les Aureliens Rouge VdP du Var! Picturesque and blooming landscapes of Provence give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the French winery Domaine de Triennes conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or pizza with mushrooms.
Tasting note
The result is a robust red wine with strong aromas of red fruits, plums, Provençal herbs, some pepper and light toast aromas. A wonderful dining companion with southern charm and plenty of breed.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Provençal cuisine, game dishes, stews, pot roasts, veal and beef, barbecues.
Vinification
After slow fermentation of 25-35 days with natural yeasts, the wine is aged for about 12 months in old Burgundy oak barrels, in which the iconic wines from Domaine Dujac slumbered before. The two types of grapes are then blended and bottled unfiltered before they are left to be stored in the bottle again.
