Tasting note
A true rarity, as there aren't really many rosés from Meunier, and the entire cultivated area of this grape variety in Montgueux is just 0.8 ha out of a total of around 210 ha. The bouquet features aromas of yellow plums, juicy red berries, sea buckthorn and candied citrus fruits, underpinned by subtle spicy-wine tones and fine minerals. On the palate, lots of juicy fruit, with a nice freshness, a winey and tart touch and chalky mineral salt notes on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to deer carpaccio with marinated chanterelles, cranberries and Parmesan shavings, beetroot salad with apples and nuts, or even with fried red mullet on cherry tomato confit. Also exciting with nutty and fruity desserts.
