About the wine

The sweet “Vin de Constance” has made Klein Constantia world famous. One of the very first and most famous fans of this nectar, which is often compared to a mix of Tokaji and Château d'Yquem, was Napoleon Bonaparte. Vintage 1791: In 2001, a bottle of a Vin de Constance that was over 200 years old appeared in an English lord's wine cellar. Tasted on the occasion of the 75th birthday of the owner of Klein Constantia, the wine was in surprisingly good shape, after all, the wine was produced two years after the French Revolution!
