About the wine

Merum Priorati is located in the town of Porrera in the east of the Priorat. The mighty Montsant protects it from the cold northerly winds, the night winds from the nearby sea provide cooling. Porrera is therefore one of the coolest corners of the otherwise very hot Priorat. The vines appreciate this and thank you for it with finesse and elegance. The soils dominated by slate are not very deep, which forces the vines to have deep roots and brings complexity, richness and minerality to the wines. In addition to international vines, the range of grape varieties also includes the traditional Garnacha and Carignena.
