About the wine
Valtellina is the largest terraced mountain wine-growing region in Italy. The native variety cultivated is Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca. The vine is cultivated at an altitude of between 350 and 900 m above sea level. Sandro Fay is very small and produces outstanding filigree, classic and complex Nebbioli, which impressively reflect the special altitude and the unique silty, sandy terroir around the town of Valgella. An amazing company and a discovery for Nebbiolo and Burgundy fans.
