Guix Vermell Negre DO 2022 - Terroir sense Fronteres

About the wine

In 2004, Dominik Huber and Eben Sadie started their Terroir al Limit project in Priorat with the help of the Perez family. Nothing else should be bottled but terroir, excellent locations, old vines, biodynamic farming, spontaneous fermentation, concrete and fuder instead of barrique. After just a few years, Dominik Huber's wines - now solely responsible - are among the absolute best in Priorat and far beyond. Terroir Sense Fronteres is his new project in Montsant, again with meticulous work in the vineyard and as close to nature as possible. Even the first year, 2017, is causing a lot of furore! Distinctive, large, elegant wines. How lucky to be there right from the start!

Tasting note
Beauty can also be an experience, an experience, and not just taste and shell. This is definitely one of the most eventful varieties, less appearance and presentation, more experiencing and feeling, full of excitement, depth, refinement, is like a wild ride through incredible versatility, the dark red to black, fully ripe fruit aromas dance together with stony and spicy sounds, sweeping, with an unearthly, inner peace, knowing where you belong. A country, a place, a time, a culture, that gives strength, that is beauty.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Guix Vermell Negre DO harmoniert ausgezeichnet mit Gemüse, rotem Fleisch und scharfem Essen.
Vinification
Very selective, early harvest by hand. Whole grape fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts with only slight extraction in cement tanks, aging over 6 months also in cement tanks.
