About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Ferreri e Bianco masteres this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the fertile and blooming landscape of Sicily. This mild white wine 2016 — Grillo Bianco IGP Sicilia crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Grillo with vegetable buffers or an aperitif.
Tasting note
This pale yellow Grillo delights with its strong aromas of ripe stone fruits, mirabelle compote, some green apple and citrus. On the palate, it is full-bodied with lots of fruit and a strong acidity. A wonderfully refreshing white wine from hot Sicily.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with aperitif, Mediterranean cuisine, starters of all kinds, fish & seafood.
Vinification
The Grillo grape variety used to provide the raw material for the best Marsala on the island. Today, it is also increasingly used for unfortified quality wines. The vines for this Grillo grow around Santa Ninfa and are all harvested by hand. After destemming, it is fermented in a steel tank and then stored on fine yeast.
