About the wine
With the dominant sparkling wine — FRANCIACORTA Brut DOCG Milledi, nuances and accents are redefined. The fertile and enchanting landscapes of Lombardy give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Ferghettina conjures up this sparkling wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This sparkling wine can be served very well with crustaceans or fish dishes.
Tasting note
Its color is straw yellow with green-gold reflections. The perlage is fine and persistent. In the mouth, it shows elegant citrus and mineral notes.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a great fish-based risotto.
Vinification
The whole grapes are pressed with a pneumatic press with very low pressure. During winemaking, the must is separated into two fractions: the must from the first pressing, which has the best quality characteristics and is used to produce Franciacorta, and the must from the second pressing, which is not used for bottling. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 16 and 18 °C. The base wine rests in tanks until spring after harvest
