About the wine
The delicious Dom Rafael DOC, which was produced in 2014, is sure to give you a lot of fun. The winemaker from the Portuguese winery Herdade do Mouchão has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and sunny landscape of the Alentejo.
Tasting note
The bouquet is not exuberant in abundance, but complex in aroma: it includes elderberry, earth and cloves. The body is softened by the smooth cocoa notes and the taste of black berries.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, grill, hard cheese, pasta, pizza
Vinification
Hand-picked, the undestemmed grapes are mashed and fermented in Lagares. Ageing: Twelve months in large and small oak barrels, then six months of bottle aging.
