Tasting note
This deep dark, ruby red Cabernet Sauvignon pleases with strong aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, black currants, orange peel, maple syrup and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is intense and juicy, with lots of sweet and dark berries, spicy aromas of vanilla and brown sugar and a long-lasting, extremely fruity finish. As the name suggests, it is the perfect accompaniment to hearty meat dishes, barbecues or a juicy burger.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meat, steaks, burgers (including vegi), strong dishes.
Vinification
The carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come primarily from Clarksburg and the Lodi region east of San Francisco Bay and from Paso Robles and are harvested by hand at perfect ripeness at night at cool temperatures. A touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc are added for the slightly darker and more complex shades. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, it is aged for approx. 8 months in American and French oak barrels (approx. 30% new wood content).
