Tasting note
Ruby red with purple reflections. Clear, straightforward, unobtrusive yet full of character; that's what Sangiovese should be like. Fresh berry aromas, a light, well-integrated spice, sour cherries. Juicy, elegant on the palate, again with lots of African flavours. It is pleasantly lightweight, very accessible and inspiring. Long finish, characterized by the fruit and the typical Sangiovese acidity.
Culinary recommendation
A perfect partner for pasta with olive oil, garlic and peperoncino.
Vinification
The grapes for this wine come from the vineyards in Ruffoli, in the municipality of Grave. The harvest takes place in the first half of October. The wine is fermented and aged for ten months in classic messenger containers. Before the wine goes on sale, it ages in the bottle in the cellar of the winery for another three months.
