Cami Pesseroles DOQ 2021 - Bodegas Mas Martinet

About the wine

The Mas Martinet winery is inextricably linked to the meteoric rise of Priorat. With great dedication and passion, José Luis Pérez has reforested (certified) the old, labor-intensive steep slopes according to ecological criteria and replaced chemistry with physics in the cellar. Sustainability, typicality and outstanding quality. His daughter Sara consistently continues along the chosen path and is now working out the independent character of the Priory even more clearly. The wines have an orchestral, rich and fresh elegance that was once thought impossible in Priorat. World improver, world fame and world class.

Tasting note
Like a painting by the Old Masters - soft glowing beauty, so much grace, inner, animated peace, a wonderfully harmonious composition, the glowing face darkenly framed by the ripe, velvety fruit, also brown tones as if you could smell the color, a slight chemical whiff. On the palate of beguiling beauty, the dark, ripe fruit gently interwoven and supple, on closer inspection these wonderful beguiling and irritating details, the tart features, the dark, slate minerality, licorice, anise. A work of art full of grace, beauty, harmony and depth.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Harmoniert perfekt mit scharfem Essen, Gemüse und rotem Fleisch.
Vinification
Very low yields, selective harvesting by hand, spontaneous fermentation in foudre and open chestnut barrels, aging for 20 months in chestnut barrels, demijohns and clay vessels. Unadorned and unfiltered.
