About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this striking Malbec 2015 — Cahors Cuvée Prestige Château Haut-Monplaisir MO. The winemaker from the French winery Château Cru Monplaisir greets us with this wine, which he grows in the landscape of the Southwest. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Malbec can be served very well with well-seasoned red meat or stuffed peppers.
Bio
Tasting note
Fermentation under temperature control and the use of oak barriques, which are renewed by a third every year, creates a powerful aromatic cru with an intense, deep, dark red color. The vines, which are on average 20 years old, contribute to this strong wine. The nose is dominated by red and black berries, supported by some cinnamon and grilled wood. Strong and balanced in the mouth with well-rounded tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, game and soft cheeses.
