About the wine
Love for nature and the cultural heritage of wine drives the Hundsdorfer family to obtain optimal starting material for great wines. The aim is to express the terroir of the Neckenmarkt wine mountains in the best possible way in order to create a unique drinking experience. The winery covers 20 hectares of vineyards, which was the first Burgenland company to be rewarded with 3 state winners in one year and several awards.
Tasting note
Ripe fruity aromas of wild cherries, as well as spicy notes of coffee and vanilla on the nose. Dry wine with a well-supporting tannin structure and aromas of overripe dark cherries and wild berries on the palate. Wine with a full body and a mild, harmonious finish that leaves a pleasant fruity sweetness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red deer specialities such as venison and deer, game fowl, beef dishes and aged cheese
Vinification
Mash fermentation at 30°C, reassembly daily for 30 days, then ageing in French oak for 18 months.
