Tasting note
The Zinio Reserva is presented in a dark cherry color in the glass. Its complexity is revealed in the nose. Ripe fruit blends with spicy notes. Delicate notes of licorice, cedarwood paired with notes of cocoa and toffee give the wine harmony and elegance. The palate is caressed with a silky and velvety texture and the tannin is fine-grained and well integrated. The aftertaste is persistent and lingers with memories of mocha and tobacco.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef — from steaks to stroganoff to tartare or slow-cooked roast from the oven. Wonderful accompaniment to all kinds of stews — whether it's lamb gigot, beef shoulder, roast pork or ossobuco.
Vinification
The grapes are selected twice, both on the vines and in the cellar. The wine is aged for 18 months in French and American oak, which allows the wine to develop a harmonious balance between the characteristic aromas of the two types of wood. Finally, the wine ages in the bottle for two years to further refine its aromas and achieve optimal drinking maturity.
