About the wine
With the biting white wine 2021 — Riesling Schiefer, nuances and accents are redefined. Picturesque landscapes of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the German winery Villa Huesgen conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Riesling can be served very well with Indian cuisine or Asian food.
Tasting note
Slate Riesling is elegantly fruity on the nose with aromas of mirabelles, apricots and lemon zest. On the palate, it impresses with fresh acidity, fine fruit, restrained minerality and beautiful citrus aromas in the background. The wine is medium-length and has a subtle finish. A great accompaniment to food: mineral and dry.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with light dishes, Asian dishes, risotto, veal and fish.
Vinification
Herbicides are not used. The 20 to 30-year-old vines grow in trellis formation. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel tanks with a long maceration period.
