About the wine
The Hundsdorfer family is driven by a love for nature and the cultural heritage of wine to achieve optimal starting material for great wines. The aim is to express the terroir of the Neckenmarkt wine mountains in the best possible way in order to create a unique drinking experience. The winery comprises 20 hectares of vineyards, which was the first Burgenland company to receive 3 state winners in one year and several awards.
Tasting note
Smoky, intense herbal spice, some cocoa, a taste of dried fruit. Juicy, intense, extract-sweet texture, presence of tannins, chocolatey aftertaste, nougat also in the back taste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red deer specialities such as venison and deer, game fowl, beef dishes and aged cheeses.
Vinification
Mash fermentation at 30°C, reassembly daily, 30 days on mash. Storage for 18 months in French oak barrels.
