About the wine
Red fruits in the bouquet, spicy notes, fresh, very clear fruit; harmonious in the mouth, very clear, very slightly sweet fruit, freshness and bite, chocolate in the background, lots of reverberation.
Tasting note
Intense ruby red. Very fresh, lively and fruity with lovely notes of red fruits, balsamic and fresh mint. Well-structured on the palate with a good balance between tannins and acidity with an elegant freshness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef and lamb, typical Tuscan stews, game and mature hard cheeses.
Vinification
Some of the grapes are fermented with the stems in open barriques. Maceration and fermentation took about 15 days. Malolactic fermentation and maturation took place for 12 months in French tonneaux and then for another 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. After bottling, the wine remains in the bottles for about 6 months to refine before being sold.
