Barolo Vigna Enrico VI DOCG 2018 - Cordero di Montezemolo

About the wine

The Cordero di Montezemolo family vineyards are located in La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. The winery is based in the town of La Morra, which, together with the municipality of Barolo itself, is the most famous of the eleven municipalities in the Barolo wine region. At the top of Monfalletto hill, a mighty, imposing and venerable Lebanese cedar rises. The tree is part of the history and tradition of these lands. It was planted by the ancestors to commemorate their wedding in 1856. Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo is only the second generation of the family to run the winery, whose roots go back to April 3, 1340. His father Paolo inherited it at the beginning of the 1940s as the closest legitimate heir to the Faletti family. Giovanni also has his enthusiasm for wine from him, so that he does not miss out on the personal care of his vineyards and vines. Giovanni loves to work with Barolo, which must be original and unadulterated!
