About the wine
The family company Azienda Agricola Enzo Boglietti has been pressing its own grapes since 1991. The region's typical varieties now grow on 22 hectares. The winery has made a name for itself in the wine world with Barolo, which has been cultivated for a very long time in Neuholz, France. In the meantime, the wines have tended to become more delicate and elegant again, and are still in the top league in the Barolo region.
Now until 2027
Tasting note
Rich ruby red with orange reflections, dark berries in the bouquet and notes of undergrowth, tar and spices, in the mouth intense and complex fruit and spice tones, with an enormous length. Balanced, with nice acidity and fine tannins. An expressive, elegant and complex Barolo with great aging potential!
Culinary recommendation
Perfect for hearty meat dishes (brasato, gigot, game) and spicy cheeses.
Vinification
20 days of temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks with daily battonage. A further 60 days on the grape skins. 24 months of aging in French oak, followed by 8 months of bottle aging. Unfiltered
