Barbaresco DOCG Teorema 2018 - Molino

About the wine

The sunsets over the hills of Ausario show the colors of passion, water, wind and sun… The vineyards derive their strength from all these elements, resulting in an elegant melody that gives rise to our dedication and work to wines, nature's last enchanting step. The company was founded in 1991 by Virginio Molino. At that time, together with his sons Tommaso, Franco and Dario, he decided to buy a small vineyard and a wine cellar to start the winemaking adventure. Today, Azienda Agricola Molino cultivates 16 ha of vineyards in Treiso, Guarene and Costigliole d'Asti. In addition to Tommaso, Dario and Franco Molino and his brother-in-law Stefano Capuccio, Marco (son of Thomaso), the third generation is responsible for the winery. The Molino have remained true to Virginia's quest to produce wines from local grape varieties (Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis). Respect for tradition with the help of modern technology results in typical, intense Piedmontese wines.

Tasting note
Ruby red with garnet reflections, delicate, elegant scent of red berries and dried flowers such as violets and rose, in the mouth you can taste fresh notes of eucalyptus and mint, while the two maturation processes in the wood ensure a full-bodied and velvety soft taste, sweet tannins and spicy notes on the finish. The grapes come from the Ausario and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio vineyards.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Barbaresco DOCG Teorema goes perfectly with beef, prosciutto and truffle risotto.
