About the wine
The Corteforte estate was built in the 14th century and originally consisted of four defensive towers surrounded by high walls. Back then, this was an important defensive base against attacks from the north. Only one of the towers still stands today and the Azienda Agricola has been owned by the Carlo Maria Cerutti family since 1989. In 1993, they pressed the first wine with a production of just 3000 bottles. Since then, Corteforte's wines have received several international awards.

Tasting note
Intense, deep garnet red. Complex, multi-layered bouquet reminiscent of sour cherries and wild berries preserved in brandy, accompanied by notes of licorice, anise and spices. Smooth, full-bodied and long aftertaste. An Amarone that impresses more with its spiciness than with its sweetness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats and roasts, brasato, braised meat, game and spicy, ripe cheeses.
Vinification
Manual harvest of the various varieties at the optimal time to harvest. The grapes are dried until the beginning of next year. Due to low temperatures, slow fermentation then takes place for 25 to 30 days. Long aging in steel tanks, oak barrels and bottles.
