Tasting note
The Azienda Buglioni is one of the youngest wineries in the region. It wasn't until 1993 that textile entrepreneurs Buglioni acquired a few old walls and a beautiful piece of land. It was planted with old vines, although no one really knew what to do with it. The first harvest was more of an autumn festival with the closest friends. In contrast to their successfully managed textile company, with over 30 sales outlets distributed throughout Italy, neither father Alfredo Buglioni nor son Mariano had a clue about vines, let alone winemaking. But this should change. A lot of ambition drove the two to start something again and to be successful with it. Despite an arduous start, the Buglionis have come to the conclusion that only full commitment can bring them to the desired goal of perfection. A stylish cellar was built, equipped with everything that goes with it. The vineyard was also enlarged and partly replanted; this according to modern criteria, but with old native varieties. With each vintage, the yields in the vineyards have become smaller, but the wines have become all the more powerful and concentrated. Tasting notes: Opulent bouquet, yet clearly defined, fresh fruit and spicy notes, candied fruits, gingerbread, an endlessly long parade of delightful aromas. Deliciously rich on the palate, long finish.
