About the wine
The company was founded in 1908 by Henri Badoux. The family business established itself at a young age with the name Aigle in connection with the famous 'Les Murailles' vineyard. When taking over the business in 1940, his son, Henri Emile Badoux, inherited a still modest wine shop. He extended the inheritance to a winery of over 50 hectares in the famous Aigle, Yvorne, Ollon and Saint-Saphorin appellations. At the beginning of the 90s, Henri Olivier Badoux took over as head of the company in place of his father. Kurt Egli took over the management of the company in 2008.
Now until 2027.
Tasting note
“The Eidechsli-Wy”, as wine connoisseurs affectionately call what is probably the most famous Vaudois, is the definition of quality par excellence. HENRI BADOUX knows how to press a first-class classic with great skill, which knows how to impress with its typical and pure aroma. On the nose, it surprises with a beautiful range of mineral notes, fruit aromas (mango, peach, grapefruit) and lime blossom. On the palate, his Aigle LES MURAILLES shines with a compact, silky texture and a flattering, balanced structure. His harmony and intensity in the long-lasting finale are remarkable.
