About the wine
The Weingut Ebner-Ebenauer is located in Poysdorf, the Grüner Veltliner community of Austria. Since 2007, the dedicated and busy winemaker Marion has been managing the winery together with her husband Manfred. Her motto is to combine the traditional with the new without being frantically modern. The 10-hectare vineyards are between 20 and 60 years old. The proud age of the vines and the focus on the typical vineyard characteristics produce unique wines.
Tasting note
Strong ruby red, full-bodied, silky, with an elegant structure, rich in finesse, very finely balanced with wonderful fruit-acid interplay, delicate spicy notes and very finely integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Zweigelt Alte Reben harmoniert ausgezeichnet mit Roastbeef, Rindstartar und Tafelspitz.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are selected and gently squeezed. A maceration period of at least 30 days with the pomace hat underpinning every day. The subsequent malolactic fermentation and storage take place in French oak barrels (70% new, 30% used).
