About the wine
The wine-growing areas of the Bodegas Senorio Barahonda winery stretch across the landscapes where the experienced winemaker produces this red wine. Treat yourself to the senses with the delicious Zona Zeppa from 2012!
Tasting note
Intense red color. Very aromatic on the nose with notes of red, ripe fruit, licorice and noble roasted notes due to the fine quality of the barrels. The finish is very structured, strong, aromatic and at the same time very sweet. This wine perfectly reflects the Yecla region and the Monastrell grape.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with all types of red meat, cheese and chocolate. The best treat at a temperature of between 16 and 18°C is also to open the bottle one hour before consumption.
Vinification
The wine is made from the Monastrell grape, which comes from a 100-year-old vineyard. The grapes are hand-picked and weigh a maximum of 10 kg. Boxes harvested. After arrival at the winery, the grapes are separated on a sorting table and the grapes are destemmed. So that the controlled fermentation process can then begin. After fermentation, the grapes are crushed and placed in French oak barrels, in which they remain for 20 months.
