About the wine

Swiss-born winemaker and owner Markus Niggli founded Markus Wine Co., in 2014. The vineyard is located on Lodi's first boutique winery Borra Vineyards and 5 miles east of Victor, California.

Markus WineRed wine | 75cl90% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Sirah, 3% Syrah
Tasting note
Intense aromas of black cherries, roses and spices. Velvety, well-integrated tannins. Long, intense aftertaste. An homage to Paul Keller - our long-time employee.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with game, smoked meats and grilled meats.
Vinification
Harvested by hand and fermented naturally. 30% of the grapes are then aged for 18 months in French barriques, which were filled once.
