Tasting note
Strong dark red. Toasted notes, aromas of black berries, spicy. Full-bodied oak notes, full-bodied structure, nice balance, with noble tannins; elegant, long-lasting finish. A great wine!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes with red meat, hairy and feathered game, spicy soft and semi-hard cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes for St. Laurent come from the top red wine vineyard Altenberg. After the three-week maceration period, Altenberg is matured for 14 months in barriques (40% new).
