About the wine
A must for connoisseurs, this dominant Pinot Noir 2012 — Volnay! The calcareous, loamy soils in Burgundy form the breeding ground for this Pinot Noir. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Louis Latour knows how to use them and delights us with this red wine. Tasting note
Brilliant, rich ruby red. Aromatic on the nose, complex scent of ripe berries, spicy notes, cinnamon, cloves, licorice. On the palate, strong, velvety tannins, rich structure with power and elegance.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef and hearty meat dishes.
Vinification
Traditional winemaking in wooden fermentation racks, followed by aging in barriques for around 12 months.
