The landscape in Catalonia is barren, whose fascinating expanses don't fit on a postcard, but in a bottle. With a lot of feeling and experience, the winemaker from the Spanish winery Clos de l'Ona ensures that his craft inspires and convinces you. Tasting note
Black crimson. A nose full of sweet blackberries, cherries, red plum pepper and sandorn. Uncanny density on the palate, it seems the roots of the ancient vines fracking here and hollow out the coveted raw material from the black slate before Glencore reaches. Clos de L'Ona is a “Vi de Vila”, one of the very few terroir vineyard wines of the Priorat that is not made from purchased grapes. Joan Ferraras' micro-domain produced a whopping 500 bottles in the record year. Be sure to decant - or store as a jewel purchase.
