About the wine
Treat your guests to this provocative Grenache 2012 — Teixar Garnatxa Vella at Christmas dinner. You can describe the landscape in Catalonia with such words as barren. However, the Spanish winery Domènech is trying to express the beauty of its home country with this red wine. We think he did it! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this grenache with spicy dishes or spicy food.
Tasting note
Dense, very dark purple red. Intense aromas of cassis, blackberry and wild strawberries. Mineral and balsamic notes, lavender and rosemary. A very elegant and extraordinarily complex wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with venison terrines, Basque-style poultry, duck jam and lamb couscous.
