About the wine
This Merlot draws its strength and energy from the gravelly soils north and east of the Gironde and Dordogne. The winemaker from the French winery Château Tauzinat l'Hermitage turns it into a real treat with a lot of emotion. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2022, it's this distinctive Merlot 2016 — Tauzinat L'Hermitage Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Merlot is ideal to be served with slightly spicy red meat or duck.

Tasting note
A strong body and distinctive acidity result in the fruity red wine, which, balanced with fine tannins in the mouth, shows plenty of character and class.

Vinification
The vinification took place as follows: deep dark ruby garnet, firm core, purple reflections, delicate brightening edges, delicately floral red berry fruit, delicate licorice, orange zest. Medium-bodied, ripe cherries, compact tannins, delicately dry aftertaste, dark chocolate finish.
